If your cabinet boxes and doors are in good shape, a new finish can change the feel of the kitchen without a full cabinet replacement. Sound hardwood cabinets—such as maple, oak, cherry, or birch—are often worth preserving. We assess the existing finish and condition first, then explain whether painting is a suitable option for your kitchen.

What happens during cabinet painting?

  1. We assess and plan. We review the cabinet condition, door and drawer count, repairs, colour, and which surfaces need painting.
  2. We paint the stationary cabinets at your home. After protecting the work area, we paint the fixed cabinet boxes, frames, and other stationary items on site using a careful brush-and-roller application.
  3. We spray-finish the doors at our shop. Doors and drawer fronts are labelled, removed, prepared, and spray-painted at our shop for a smooth, even finish. The coating needs about 10 days to cure; we provide care and handling guidance for the specific product and project.

Our starting point is $120 per door. The estimate changes with door and drawer size, condition, repair needs, whether faces or both sides are being painted, and the overall project scope.
